Felted Calla Lily

DSCF1951

Well, I went back and knitted and felted a wool calla lily just to see how it would felt . Okay…..so now what do I do with it?  lol  IF I made another one I would connect the stem at the same time. This stem is not felted a lot but you can get the idea.

Is there a pattern for the Cala lily? I would like to make a bouquet of them.

Here is the link to go to for the pattern. I think there is a mistake in the calla lily pattern. When you start to decrease on row 13 it says to decrease to row 17. I kept decreasing until two needles left and then transferred one to the other and manually knitted as one stitch and pulled tail of yarn through last stitch. Try it and see what you think.
      🙂

I did one of these once to embellish a felted hat. It worked out quite well.

You can insert a hard/bendable wire inside the stem to hold it up. Then, place it in a skinny vase.
